The Navy announced today the names of Sailors selected for advancement to chief petty officer (CPO) by the FY-19 Navy Active-Duty E7 Selection Boards.

Navy Administrative Message (NAVADMIN) 191/18, released today and posted on the Navy Personnel Command (NPC) website this morning, commended the selectees. "Strong competition between qualified professionals is one of the strengths of our Navy," it reads, "and your selection speaks highly of your abilities." The NAVADMIN may be accessed online here.

While the NAVADMIN announces the names of selectees, it does not authorize their advancement to CPO. Specific dates of advancement will be published later by the Commanding Officer, Naval Education and Training Professional Development Center, Pensacola, Fla. Sailors whose names are listed in the NAVADMIN may, however, be frocked in accordance with the Advancement Manual for the Enlisted Personnel of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Navy Reserve (Bureau of Personnel Instruction 1430.16F), available for download via the NPC website.

A searchable list of the names of Sailors selected can be accessed here or via the button above. The names are grouped by rating and listed in alphabetical order within each group. The list also indicates the numerical order of advancement for each selectee. Those finding their names on the list should verify their status as a selectee by visting BUPERS Online at bol.navy.mil.
