A CPO Legacy: ATC Justin Kramer
One Sailor's Path to Chief
12 December 2013
This is a story about family, both personal and Navy. The chief petty officer mess is, at its core, about family. When you earn your anchors you become part of something bigger than yourself. You become a member of the CPO family.
Chief Aviation Electronics Technician Justin Kramer knows the importance of family and the role the Navy has played in his relatives lives. His step-father is a former Sailor and chief petty officer. It is this relationship that kept Kramer working toward his goal of becoming a chief petty officer.
In CPO 365 Phase II, family, friendship and teamwork are emphasized in order to produce a leader capable and deserving of the gold fouled anchor. Kramer was the epitome of all three during his transition to chief petty officer.
