Rear Adm. Maria L. "Lore" Aguayo receives her retirement certificate from Rear Adm. Dean A. VanderLey, commander, Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) and Chief of Civil Engineers on Aug. 2, 2024. She was also awarded a Legion of Merit aboard the historic Lafayette River Annex, Naval Support Activity for her service as commander, NAVFAC Atlantic.
