ATLANTIC OCEAN (May 31, 2024) An MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter from Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 5 hovers over the Argentine navy Gowind-class Ara Almirante Storni (P 53) during a visit, board, search, and seizure exercise while underway in the Atlantic Ocean, May 31, 2024. HSC-5 is embarked aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) and is deployed as part of Southern Seas 2024, which seeks to enhance capability, improve interoperability, and strengthen maritime partnerships with countries throughout the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility through joint, multinational, and interagency exchanges and cooperation.
