GULF OF GUINEA (April 6, 2024) The Lewis B. Puller-class expeditionary sea base USS Hershel "Woody" Williams (ESB 4) and the Nigerian navy ship NNS Kada (LST 1314) transit the Gulf of Guinea. Hershel "Woody" Williams is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Africa area of operations, employed by U.S. 6th Fleet to defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
