PHILIPPINE SEA (Feb. 2, 2024) Lt. John Albani, from Boston, stands tactical action officer watch aboard Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Sterett (DDG 104). The tactical action officer is the commanding officer's direct representative in all matters concerning the tactical employment and defense of the ship. Sterett is assigned to Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 1 and deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
