PHILIPPINE SEA (Dec. 15, 2023) Seaman Chase Jones, from Valdosta, Georgia, uses binoculars to scan the horizon for contacts while standing aft lookout watch aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Hopper (DDG 70) during underway operations in the Philippine Sea. Hopper, assigned to Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 1, is deployed to U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
