William Middendorf II during a keel plate unveiling ceremony for the future USS J. William Middendorf (DDG 138). Del Toro was the featured speaker at the ceremony to honor Middendorf, who served as the former U.S. ambassador to The Netherlands, the 62nd Secretary of the Navy, and is the ship's namesake.
