PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 6, 2023) A MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter, left, assigned to the "Black Knights" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 4, and an MH-60R Sea Hawk assigned to the "Blue Hawks" of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 78, fly in formation during Multi-Large Deck Event. The exercise, with the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group, Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, is designed to advance combined readiness between Japanese and U.S. naval forces while simultaneously demonstrating our commitment to our partners and allies in the Indo-Pacific region. Carl Vinson, flagship of Carrier Strike Group ONE, is deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
