PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 4, 2023) Aviation Machinist's Mate 2nd Class Fritzjon Lucero, from Tarlac, Phillipines, assigned to the "Golden Dragons" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 192 maintains an F/A-18E Super Hornet in the hangar bay aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). Carl Vinson, flagship of Carrier Strike Group 1, is underway conducting routine operations in the U.S. 7th Fleet Area of operations. U.S. 7th Fleet is the U.S. Navy's largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
