AT SEA (Oct. 10, 2023) Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) helicopter destroyer JS Hyuga (DDH 181) and Republic of Korea Navy (ROK-N) Sejong the Great-class guided-missile destroyer ROKS Yulgok Yi I (DDG 992) break away from formation with the U.S. Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Shoup (DDG 86), and first-in-class fast-combat support ship ROKS Cheonji (AOE 57), during trilateral training at sea, Oct. 10.
