ATLANTIC OCEAN (Sept. 24, 2023) An F/A-18F Super Hornet from Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 103 flies over the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) during friends and family day in the Atlantic Ocean, Sept. 24, 2023. George Washington is homeported at Naval Station Norfolk and is undergoing an inspection and survey, a comprehensive evaluation of the material condition of the ship to ensure its fully prepared for sea operations.
