Virginia Tech Stability Wind Tunnel
The Stability Wind Tunnel at Virginia Tech, one of the largest university-operated wind tunnels in the United States. Originally built at the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) Langley Aeronautical Laboratory in 1940, it was acquired by Virginia Tech (then Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University) in 1958 and is now under the direction of William Devenport, Crofton Professor in Engineering in the Department of Aerospace and Ocean Engineering.
