CORAL SEA (July 25, 2023) Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Brisa Del Rio, assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, reviews a casualty care card to determine next level care inside a MV-22B Osprey during casualty evacuation exercise aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) in the Coral Sea, July 25, 2023. The exercise was conducted to evaluate Marines and corpsmen on their ability to effectively provide medical care and evacuate the combat casualty to a higher echelon of care. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of USS America Expeditionary Strike Group in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
