PUGET SOUND (July 2, 2023) The aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) transits Puget Sound en route to its homeport of Bremerton, Washington, July 2, 2023. Nimitz returned to the Pacific Northwest following a seven-month deployment to U.S. 3rd and 7th Fleet areas of operation. Nimitz's presence reinforced the United States' commitment to fly, sail and operate wherever international law allows in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
