Jason Geddes, commanding officer of the Ohio-class guided-missile submarine USS Michigan (SSGN 727), gives a ships briefing to Republic of Korea army Lt. Gen. Son Sik aboard the boat moored pierside in Busan, Republic of Korea. The Navy's guided-missile submarines provide strike and special operations mission capabilities from a stealthy, clandestine platform. The port visit in Busan reflects the United States' commitment to the Indo-Pacific region, and compliments the many exercises, training, operations and other military cooperation activities conducted by U.S. submarine forces with our Republic of Korea allies.
