ATLANTIC OCEAN (June 14, 2023) The guided-missile destroyer USS Arleigh Burke (DDG 51) fires its 5-inch gun during an African Lion 23 live-fire exercise in the Atlantic Ocean, June 14, 2023. African Lion 23 is a multinational exercise focused on increasing training and interoperability between U.S. partners and allies in Africa, while simultaneously working toward increased security and stability within the region.
