BALTIC SEA (April 17, 2023) Master-at-Arms 1st Class Everest Austerman, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Porter (DDG 78), lights a floating lantern during a Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremony, April 17. The burning flame represents a commitment to always remember and honor the millions lost during the Holocaust, and to stand up against hatred in all forms. Porter is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by the U.S. Sixth Fleet to defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
