EAST CHINA SEA (April 4, 2023) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Wayne E. Meyer (DDG 108) steams in formation during a trilateral photo exercise with the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and the Republic of Korea navy in the East China Sea. The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group is conducting a trilateral maritime exercise with the ROK and JMSDF Navy's in the U.S. 7th Fleet are of operations. 7th Fleet is the U.S. Navy's largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
