PACIFIC OCEAN (March 27, 2023) A U.S. Navy Sailor directs a Republic of Korea (ROK) UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter to land on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group is conducting a bilateral maritime exercise with the ROK Navy in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations. 7th Fleet is the U.S. Navy’s largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with Allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
