ADRIATIC SEA (March 2, 2023) A CV-22 Osprey assigned to the U.S. Air Force 7th Special Operations Squadron, 352nd Special Operations Wing, lands on the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) during deck landing qualifications, March 2, 2023. These operations demonstrate U.S. European Command's ability to rapidly deploy special operations forces (SOF) throughout the U.S. 6th Fleet Area of Responsibility. The George H.W. Bush Carrier Strike Group is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by U.S. U.S. 6th Fleet to defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
