ATLANTIC OCEAN (March 6, 2023) Sailors from the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Thomas Hudner (DDG 116) return to the ship on a rigid-hull inflatable boat while underway in the Atlantic Ocean, March 6, 2023. Thomas Hudner is underway as part of the USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group in the Atlantic Ocean executing its Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX), an intense, multi-week exercise designed to fully integrate a carrier strike group as a cohesive, multi-mission fighting force and to test their ability to carry out sustained combat operations from the sea.
