PHILIPPINE SEA (Feb. 7, 2023) Marines with Battalion Landing Team 1/4, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, return to the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20) during training in the Philippine Sea, Feb. 8, 2023. The Marines conducted a boat raid exercise that increased their proficiency to secure contested terrain and allow friendly forces to advance from ship to shore. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
