FORT STORY, Va. (Jan. 30, 2023) U.S. Marines with Golf Company, 2d Battalion, 2d Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division coordinate with U.S. Sailors with U.S. Second Fleet unloading off Landing Craft Utility 1650 for Amphibious Exercise 2023 at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, Virginia, Jan. 30, 2023. AMPHEX is a joint exercise that demonstrates littoral interoperability and increased proficiency in operational maneuvers, including: familiarization with U.S. Navy landing craft, air cushion, LCU, amphibious beach landings, air-assault drills and combined live-fire training.
