FORT STORY, Va. (Jan. 30, 2023) U.S. Sailors with U.S. Second Fleet coordinate with U.S. Marines with 2nd Marine Division to conduct a beach landing with landing craft air cushions for Amphibious Exercise 2023 at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, Virginia, Jan. 30, 2023. AMPHEX is a joint exercise that demonstrates littoral interoperability and increased proficiency in operational maneuvers, including: familiarization with U.S. Navy LCAC and landing craft utilities, amphibious beach landings, air-assault drills and combined live-fire training.
