PHILIPPINE SEA (Jan. 13, 2023) Marines assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) disembark an MV-22B Osprey tiltrotor aircraft from Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 262 on the flight deck of the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) while sailing underway in the Philippine Sea, Jan. 13. America, lead ship of the America Amphibious Ready Group, is operating in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready-response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
