PEARL HARBOR (Dec. 5, 2022) Lt. Cdr. Luslaida Barbosa, from Gurabo, Puerto Rico, presents former Navy musician mate, honorary bandmaster, Ira "Ike" Schaba with an officer’s cover during a performance by the U.S. Pacific Fleet Band. The band performed for World War II veterans and Pearl Harbor visitors during an 81st Anniversary Pearl Harbor Remembrance concert at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. Dec. 7, 2022, marks the 81st anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor and Oahu. The U.S. military, State of Hawaii and National Park Service are hosting a series of remembrance events throughout the week to honor the courage and sacrifices of those who served throughout the Pacific Theater.
