FRCE conducts test run of CH-53K engine disassembly
Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE) engine mechanics Mark Schexnayder, left, and Travis Barclay disassemble the depot’s first T408 engine from a CH-53K helicopter, as FRCE engineers and logisticians, and representatives of Naval Air Systems Command’s H-53 Heavy Lift Helicopter Program Office (PMA-261) and engine manufacturer GE Aviation observe. The key stakeholders in the CH-53K King Stallion program attended the disassembly to collect data on the disassembly process and fine-tune T408 technical manuals.
