PHILIPPINE SEA (Nov. 13, 2022) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Benfold (DDG 65) fires its 5-inch gun during a live-fire gunnery exercise as part of Keen Sword in the Philippine Sea, Nov. 13, 2022. Keen Sword is a biennial, joint and bilateral field-training exercise involving U.S. military and Japan Self-Defense Force personnel, designed to increase readiness and interoperability while strengthening the ironclad Japan-U.S. alliance.
