East China Sea (Oct. 26, 2022) Sailors assigned to the forward-deployed amphibious transport dock ship USS New Orleans (LPD 18) carry a fuel line to an MH-60R/S Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 12 Golden Falcons from the forward-deployed Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) to refuel it while in the East China Sea. New Orleans, part of the Ronald Reagan Amphibious Strike Force, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
