TARLAC, Philippines (Oct. 4, 2022) U.S. Navy corpsmen with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and members of the Philippine navy treat mock casualties while participating in mass casualty response training at Colonel Ernesto Rabina Air Base, Tarlac, Philippines, Oct. 4, 2022. The mass casualty response mission allows the 31st MEU to reach victims of an attack, natural disaster or other emergent events when local medical and reactionary forces are unable to provide proper medical care. KAMANDAG is an annual bilateral exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and U.S. military designed to strengthen interoperability, capabilities, trust, and cooperation built over decades shared experiences.
