PACIFIC OCEAN (Sept. 12, 2022) Sailors don firefighting gear during a general quarters drill aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8), Sept. 12, 2022. Damage control drills are used both in port and underway to ensure that Sailors have the proper training to combat any casualty that may arise.
