RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil (Sept. 8, 2022) U.S. Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV) Carlos Del Toro addresses a formation of U.S. Marines at Ilha do Governador in Rio de Janeiro on the official opening day of exercise UNITAS LXIII, Sept. 8, 2022. Del Toro discussed the importance of their role in exercise UNITAS. For the last 63 years, UNITAS has developed and sustained relationships that improve the capacity of our reemerging and enduring maritime partners to achieve common objectives.
