PHILIPPINE SEA (Aug. 15, 2022) Sailors aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS New Orleans (LPD 18), raise the “ball-diamond-ball” to signify the ship is restricted in its ability to maneuver during a replenishment-at-sea with dry cargo ship USNS Carl Brashear (T-AKE 7). New Orleans, part of the Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group, along with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
