ATLANTIC OCEAN (Aug. 8, 2022) Boatswain’s Mate 1st Class Nicholas Labarre, from Chicago, Illinois, directs sailors to remove chock and chains from a MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter, assigned to Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 79, Detachment 2, on the flight deck of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Paul Ignatius (DDG 117). Paul Ignatius, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by U.S. Sixth Fleet, to defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
