(Aug. 5, 2022) A helicopter carrying a group of distinguished visitors flies over the Trident pier during a tour of Joint Logistics Over-The-Shore (JLOTS) operations at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, Va., Aug. 5. JLOTS is an expeditionary capability utilized by the Department of Defense to transport military vehicles and cargo from roll-on/roll-off ships at sea to the shore via an improvised port when traditional infrastructure, such as bare beaches or austere ports, is unavailable.
