SASEBO, Japan (Aug. 6, 2022) Quartermaster 3rd Class Cristian Cienfuegos, assigned to the Avenger-class mine countermeasures ship USS Pioneer (MCM 9), explains the ship's navigation charts and tools to members of the Sasebo community during the Sasebo Summer Festival 2022 in Sasebo, Japan Aug. 6, 2022. The Pioneer welcomed more than 3,700 visitors during the two-day festival which celebrated the 120th anniversary of Sasebo City, 70th anniversary of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, and included displays of Japan Self Defense Force equipment and capabilities.
