ATLANTIC OCEAN (July 12, 2022) The cremated remains of former service members and family members are staged in preparation for interment on the Ford-class aircraft carrier USS Gerald Ford's (CVN 78) aircraft elevator, July 12, 2022. The remains of 30 service and family members were committed to the sea. Ford is underway in the Atlantic Ocean conducting an independent steaming operation.
