PHILIPPINE SEA (July 5, 2022) Lt. Cmdr. Hank Villatoro, the ship's training officer, studies for an Officer of the Deck exam in the training office aboard the U.S. Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Ronald Reagan's training department is responsible for shipboard training, mission critical schools, emergency leave, and travel to advanced detachments. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the United States, and supports alliances, partnerships and collective maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
