SAN DIEGO (July 8, 2022) Rear Adm. Theodore LeClair, deputy commander of Naval Surface Force U.S. Pacific Fleet, delivers remarks aboard the Independence-variant littoral combat ship USS Mobile (LCS 26) during a change of command ceremony. LeClair is the lead for Task Force Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), an ongoing initiative from Commander, Naval Surface Forces, U.S. Pacific Fleet to optimize the reliability, lethality and sustainability of the LCS platform. LCS are fast, agile, mission-focused platforms designed to operate in near-shore environments, winning against 21st-century coastal threats.
