Bruce Gillingham, U.S. Navy Surgeon General, discusses joint-medical readiness during the 2022 Rim of the Pacific Exercise (RIMPAC) Medical Symposium at Sharkey Theater on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii on July 1, 2022. The theme of the medical symposium was "interoperability." The panel members discussed how international partnerships and standardization can improve patient outcomes if/when medical assets are called to respond to a wartime situation or humanitarian crisis.
