PACIFIC OCEAN (June 24, 2022) Naval Communicator Sailor 2nd Class Gabrielle Bissainthe operates the signal lamp on board Royal Canadian Navy frigate HMCS Vancouver (FFH 331) while Sailor 3rd Class Chris Lambert and Sailor 3rd Class Mark-Andre Jeske look on during a flashing light exercise with members of the Peruvian navy corvette BAP Guise (CC-28). Both ships are sailing together with the Royal Canadian Navy frigate HMCS Winnipeg (FFH 338), the Zumwalt-class destroyer USS Michael Monsoor (DDG 1001) and the Chilean navy frigate CNS Almirante Lynch (FF 07) en route to Hawaii for Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2022. Twenty-six nations, 38 ships, four submarines, more than 170 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC from June 29- Aug. 4 in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The world�s largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships among participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world�s oceans.
