PACIFIC OCEAN (June 23, 2022) Sailors and their families and friends observe as air department Sailors direct a UH-1N Huey to land and take off from the flight deck of amphibious transport dock ship USS Anchorage (LPD 23) during a family day cruise. Friends and family members were invited aboard Anchorage to experience a day in the life of a Sailor at sea first-hand. Anchorage is currently home ported in San Diego as part of Amphibious Squadron SEVEN, along with USS John P. Murtha (LPD 26) and the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8).
