OKINAWA, Japan (June 15, 2022) U.S. Marines with Battalion Landing Team (BLT) 2/5, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) hold security during a visit, board, search, and seizure operation aboard the Lewis B. Puller-class expeditionary mobile base USS Miguel Keith (ESB-5), off the coast of Okinawa, Japan, June 15, 2022. Conducting these training operations brings the Amphibious Raid Force and BLT 2/5 closer to one cohesive unit under the 31st MEU. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
