JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKHAM, Hawaii (June 13, 2022) A U.S. Navy Sailor assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Frank E. Petersen Jr. (DDG 121) reunites with his family during the first kiss and first hug portion of the ship's homecoming ceremony at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, June 13, 2022. Frank E. Petersen Jr. is named after retired U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Frank E. Petersen, Jr., who was the first Black U.S. Marine Corps aviator and the first Black Marine to become a three-star general.
