(May 15, 2022) Mass Communication Specialist 3rd Class Jahlena Royer, assigned to the U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet (USNAVSO/C4F) reserve unit, participates in the 2,000-meter rowing portion of the physical fitness assessment, May 15, 2022. Rowing, an alternative cardio option for the test, was introduced in 2021. USNAVSO/C4F supports U.S. Southern Command's joint and combined military operations by employing maritime forces in cooperative maritime security operations to maintain access, enhance interoperability, and build enduring partnerships in order to enhance regional security and promote peace, stability and prosperity in the Caribbean, Central and South American region.
