Chung-Hoon�s namesake, Gordon Chung-Hoon, was a Chinese-American Naval Academy graduate who was awarded the Navy Cross for his leadership as commanding officer of USS Sigsbee (DDG 502) during a World War II kamikaze attack in 1945.
