SEA OF JAPAN (May 12, 2022) Members from Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 11 prepare the MK 18 MOD 1 Swordfish to be deployed from the on water transportation system (OWTS) onboard the Independence-class littoral combat ship USS Charleston (LCS 18) during Exercise Noble Vanguard, May 12, 2022. The Swordfish is an unmanned underwater vehicle with the sonar capabilities to scan the ocean floor for potential mines.
