DARWIN, Australia (May 10, 2022) Officers and senior enlisted of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, Australian Army, and U.S. Marines assigned to the Marine Rotational Force-Darwin (MRF) 22 conducted professional exchanges and toured the forward-deployed amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48). Ashland, part of Amphibious Squadron 11, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility to enhance interoperability with allies and partners, and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
