220422-N-RM599-0013 Commander Fleet Activities Sasebo, Japan (April 22, 2022) Staff and Sasebo Elementary school students planted a 10 foot Japanese Cherry (Sakura) Tree to commemorate Earth Day. Students assisted with backfilling the dirt and watering the tree, while maintenance staff personnel completed the planting, including supporting scaffolding, and the placement of a placard commemorating Earth Day.
